Motivation in Action: Best Practices for Conversations That Change HIV Care

This is a mandatory training required for all Ryan White case managers.

On-Site Registration open 9:00am to 10:00am.

This interactive training introduces core Motivational Interviewing (MI) principles and practical communication skills for supporting person-centered conversations with people with HIV. Participants will practice foundational MI skills and explore strategies to help clients navigate ambivalence, identify personal goals, and strengthen engagement in care, treatment adherence, and overall well-being. The training will also highlight ways to integrate MI into Ryan White case management to support retention in care and viral suppression.
